SVRC Meeting Minutes
November 10, 2009 Our club had the honor of seeing a fantastic Visioning Presentation by Nancy Pettus and Pat Butts. Nancy is a previous District Governor and is passionate about the Visioning Process for Rotary Clubs all over the country! Their presentation was extremely informative and we know our club will benefit from going through a Visioning process probably at the beginning of the New Year.
For a copy of the presentation, their powerpoint, or to hear the presentation, just click on "visioning" at the bottom of the menu on the left-hand side.
Our President, Scott Sessions, reported that we had completed the Purple Pinkie Project and had a successful fund-raising effort through our school presentations. A final tally will be available once all the funds have been accounted for.
Our club has lost three members in the last month due to relocations and so we need to get out the word and bring in some new members! Our club goal is to have three new members before the end of the year. To that end, we will be doing a membership drive and will have a meeting on December 8, 2009 that will hopefully bring us new members. Each of our club members is asked to bring one potential new club member to this meeting, during which we will review Rotary's goals and vision for our future. This will be a wonderful opportunity to introduce ourselves to these folks, and bring them into our club. The only way to continually improve our club and be able to help our wonderful community is to get more people involved. We will have this meeting at a different location instead of the Senior Center, and will announce that information very soon!
Yours in Rotary,
Megan O'Rourke, Club Secretary
